Gorse near Pencoed

Suddenly, warmth is bringing flowers, stunning colours of rhododendrons, creamy bubbles on rowans, bluebells everywhere and yellow gorse flashing on hillsides or, in this case, by the A473 near Pencoed.

I’ve driven past lots of times, yet a look over the stone wall, ignoring the vroom noises of loud traffic, and there’s a sunshine-lit stream and horse grazing happily.
