Kilvey Hill: update

The Kilvey SOUL (Save Our Unclassified Lanes) efforts to keep their unclaimed highways as restricted byways (for horse-riding and driving, cyclists and pedestrians as used – see September 30th and April 12th) accessible to all, including disabled and limited users, were set back by the Inspector’s confirmation of footpath orders.

Before anyone could even lodge an appeal or submit evidence to modify the paths back to their present uses, the council were moving bulldozers in trying to erect barriers in a clear abuse of their powers.  Councillor Joe Hale has helped prevent this naughtiness so far.

I really like the sign now added to the unclaimed ways.kilvey hill sign dec 2012
